Objectives
The objectives of the Laurelwood Neighbourhood Association are:

To promote and facilitate community based activities such as leisure activities, recreational events, educational opportunities and promote environmental awareness.   

Assist with the development of an equitable, safe, and inclusive community.

To develop effective partnerships and relationships with The City of Waterloo and other neighbourhood associations.

Laurelwood Neighbourhood Street Reps and Newsletter Distribution Co-ordinator wanted

RESIDENTS WANTED:

Laurelwood Neighbourhood Street Reps are required immediately for our newsletter distribution - three times yearly.  What a great way to get some exercise, for students to earn community hours or anyone simply wanting to help out their neighbourhood association.

Currently required is a representative for Beaver Creek, north of the roundabout.

A Newsletter Distribution Co-ordinator is also required immediately.

Skating Rink at Laurelwood Park

The rink is located at Laurelwood Park off Gatestone Blvd.  You can also get to the rink through the path

Vintners Eve

Saturday February 20th at Sole Restaurant

Once again the residents of Laurelwood can experience the first class atmosphere of dining at Sole Restaurant in their exclusive Wine Cellar Room.  This special event will include a multi-course dinner based on the "Winterlicious" Menu with wine pairings for each, finishing with some tasty ice wine.  Rosewood Wines experienced Sommelier will lead us through each of the flavourful Ontario wines from one of the best Niagara Estate wineries.

Annual Garage Sale

Laurelwood Community Scholarship

The Laurelwood Neighbourhood Association has created two scholarship funds to award youth volunteering and contributing to our Laurelwood community.

Secondary students should apply through their guidance office.  Our recipient of the $300 Laurelwood Community Secondary School Scholarship fund will be announced at convocation.  

Students can apply for a $100 Laurelwood Community Elementary School Scholarship for an elementary school student graduating in June 2010.  The application form can be printed off here elemscholarship.

Youth Night for 6-11 Year olds

Youth Night


Once again our youth night is in full swing! If your son or daughter is interested in checking out Youth Night, they can bring their running shoes and a toonie to the school gym every Friday night until May and join in on all the action!           

Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Location: Laurelwood Public School
Ages: 6 to 11 years
Activities: Dodgeball, Basketball, Soccer, Hockey, Olympics,
Crafts, and much more.  $2 at the door.
